>> DANIEL: Yes! 3-1 to me.

>> FARA: Hmm. Anyway, why can't I play blue, you know I support Huddersfield Town.

>> DANIEL: Yeah. What's that all about?

>> FARA: You know, my dad's from that part of Yorkshire.So he said that because of that it was the only club he could support. So I just kind of adopted it, too.

>> DANIEL: I guess that's quite cool. My parents aren't into football at all.

>> FARA: But if they were, what would made them choose just one club?

>> DANIEL: I suppose my mum would choose a team who she thought were good sports. And my dad always chooses anyone he calls the underdog because he says it shows good character when they do well.

>> FARA: It's interesting what makes people really strongly believe in something.

>> DANIEL: Yeah. Well, even if we make up our own minds about things, sometimes what other people do or say can affect what we think or how we act.

>> FARA: You're right. And I suppose the choices that we make depend on our values. Here's what other people have to say about their own values.

>> ANTHONY: Most important personal value is honesty... to have a good work ethic, so work hard, make sure you always do your best, and also be humble in things that you do. So you don't need to be big-headed, don't need to brag about things that you do. You just accept praise when it's there but also look to work hard and do your best at all times.

>> LAURA: I think respect would be my main one. I think if you have respect on and off the pitch, just in everyday life, then you'll get very far. If you respect other people, they'll respect you, and, you know, equality would also be a massive one. I think it's very important to treat people how you want to be treated and I think that you'll live a very good life if you do that.

>> DANIEL: So your dad is proud of being from Yorkshire.

>> FARA: And your mom and dad would choose to support a club for slightly different reasons or values. So why do professional sportsmen and women believe that values are so important?

>> LAURA: I think values are very important because it kind of tells you the person you are, it shows people how you are, and it also, by how your values are, I believe that that's how you'll get treated.

>> ANTHONY: It is really important to live these values that you hold to make sure that you set an example for other people. So, for example, with your friends at school, you set the example to your friends and hopefully your friends behave exactly the same way you treat other people how you expect them to treat you.

>> DANIEL: And in school, why are good values so important?

>> GIRL 2: My most important values are friendship and honesty.

>> BOY 1: Well, my most important values are fairness and honesty.

>> GIRL 2: Those values are important to me because it makes me a better person.

>> FARA: So how would you help me to decide what club I might want to support?

>> DANIEL: Well, I have to give you some really good reasons to consider it.

>> FARA: Right.

>> DANIEL: Like maybe how they behave on the pitch.

>> FARA: Oh!

>> DANIEL: What the manager is like.
