Managing emotions can be difficult and knowing how to stay positive and support others is vital. Being able to verbalise our emotions and identify the feelings of others is a key part of healthy relationships.
In this lesson, pupils explore the impact of their choice of words and actions on themselves and others.
The lesson includes optional films featuring broadcaster and England’s most capped player Fara Williams on the impact of sexist and homophobic online abuse and Hillsborough campaigner Margaret Aspinall on the impact of 'tragedy chanting'.
“The activities have lots of meaning and offer the children a memorable lesson experience with strategies and skills they can take away and use in life.” – KS2 Teacher
