Discover our wellbeing resources for Mental Health Awareness Week 2024!

The Premier League is committed to supporting mental health both on and off the pitch. There are so many factors which can affect our mental health, including how we see ourselves, how we interact with others and our physical activity levels. This year, Mental Health Awareness Week (13-19 May) is encouraging young people to find moments for movement in their daily routines, whether it’s a game of football at lunch or dancing around the living room!

To kick start your classroom discussions around mental health and wellbeing, explore our free, curriculum-aligned resources:

Wellbeing Stars
Spark class discussions about mental wellbeing and the impact of physical activity with our PSHE resource, Wellbeing Stars. Pupils can use these resources to plan their very own Wellbeing Week and pledge to support their mental health. Available for KS1 and KS2.

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind
Our Healthy Body, Healthy Mind PSHE resource pack is designed to help pupils understand the connection between physical and emotional health with an Activity Tracker and Wellbeing Wheel. Available for Foundation / KS1 and KS2.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Infographics
We have worked in collaboration with leaders in performance psychology, BelievePerform, to create a selection of bespoke infographics which promote positive mental health and wellbeing messages for children.

If you want to delve deeper into the topic, there are plenty more resources to support your teaching throughout the year, including these insightful packs:

We also want to support you to have conversations about mental health in the classroom. Kick off a conversation on mental health with your pupils using our ‘Starting XI’ questions, developed in collaboration with the Mental Health Foundation.

You can adapt these questions to suit the needs of your pupils. Why not adapt ‘How is life treating you at the moment’ and ask ‘How have you been feeling recently?’.

You could also share this with your school colleagues and support each other in the classroom too!

All of our resources are completely FREE and created with the help of teachers like you - see for yourself by downloading them today.
